True story: not long after I borrowed my father’s Heavy Metal collection in 2011, I ran into my friend Julian Lytle at a bar on U Street in DC. I told him about my new project and he told me that his work was in an issue of Heavy Metal from the previous year. This is a page from his gallery in that issue. Julian’s work is also the first work in Heavy Metal by someone I know personally.

I like this page specifically because I love sound effect on the top image. It’s a great design choice.
