The various elements that can be seen in this, the final page World Apart, pretty much sum up the stew that this story became.

In the center is the cliff with a face (a cliff face?), volcanic eruptions, helicopters (post-Apocalyptic setting, remember), a duel between wizards and some kind of Gods and/or demons dancing in the sky.

Oh, and this, the final chapter? Completely silent.
