This is a Theodore Sturgeon story that seems to have been adapted into an illustrated story. They printed a similar Zelazny adaptation earlier in the year. This is an ongoing series, which means that there will be an ad for the collected edition inside six months.

Someone really noticed the market that Heavy Metal opened up and jumped in with both feet because this stuff has obviously started to leak out of the woodwork.
