This is the first Heavy Metal I’ve read since Moebius died, so I’m looking at his work from a slightly different perspective – bittersweet has been added to the retrospective. The standout piece of work on this page is the star dress in the middle. I swear that Jim Starlin’s design for Eternity was based on this dress. At the bottom of the page, Moebius references a photo that shows up at the top of the next page as its own panel, something he’s done before in this series.
