There is a note at the end of this story, indicating that it was “inspired by the dream sequence in Don’t Bite the Sun by Tanith Lee.” It’s not an especially great piece of artwork, but the bottom left panel contains a great example of early brokeback, which is pretty painful to look at for any length of time.
