This story is unbelievably creepy and bears a striking resemblance to the Sandman short story “A Dream of a Thousand Cats” (although, chronologically speaking, it should really be the other way around). The format of three short panels underscored by three tall panels is actually fairly interesting and not something I’ve seen done for an entire story.
