An almost wordless piece by Charles Vess. At first, I thought it was by a French creator because of the “Que” in the second panel, but then I caught the byline. Homer’s weirdly-shaped head is noteworthy but unexplained. The sequence at the bottom of this page is echoed in an early issue of Alan Moore’s Promethea.
