This is still technically the prologue to the Elric adventures, detailing the epic battle he fought with his cousin and the black sword Stormbringer that came to be his calling card. The approach is amazing, with the shot of the sword in the middle of the page serving as both a panel border and a panel in it’s own right. Note how the text doesn’t really work with the artwork – more text boxes would have been prudent, no matter how much art they covered up.
