One of the things I enjoy so much about Kofoed’s Galagic Geographic series is the incidental details that add to the sense that there is a much larger world than the snapshot we are presented. Obviously, that’s part of the point of a series entitled “Galactic Geographic” but his presentation is what makes it work.
Case in point: the top half of the text in this installment is written in an alien language, which highlights the fact that these articles would not just be written for a human audience. An alien alphabet is a relatively tiny detail, but can be quite telling.
