The plot of this story is predicated on the crazy old drunk homeless man assaulting a random passer-by and chasing her into a red square that turns out to be an unexplained dimensional portal of some kind. He manages to rip her top off before she escapes, which is why she’s topless here. The sword and helmet are artifacts that she picked up on one of the worlds she visited – and, of course, there is the requisite twist ending where she now has the opportunity to attack her attacker. All she needed was a metal thong and a sword to give her the confidence to do so, apparently.
