One thing that you can always say about Caza’s very thinly veiled allegories – they’re always amusing. Caza being Caza, of course, they are also beautifully drawn. The two characters here are stock creations that show up in a lot of his works from this period (which I usally think of as his pastel period) – the bearded point of view character and the overweight “normie” guy with a mustache that represents the usual man on the street.

This story is a not-very-subtle satire about the militaristic tendencies of nations – note the French tricolor being used as a cape in the second and fourth panels. Something else to note is that the poster above the POV character’s head keeps changing.
