The joke on the third panel is probably the best joke in the story to date. The reveal from the last panel on the next page is that the characters have not actually landed on the surface of the moon, but actually landed on the breast of an enormous naked woman lounging on the surface of the moon. It’s a welcome change from the fairly heavy-handed period-accurate racism that’s been the most obvious throughline so far.
