These are two of the three pages in this story, which is built around the idea of variation to prove a point about how over-the-top the underground comics got in the 70s. The fact that the two main characters bear more than a passing resemblance to the Freak Brothers and quote Ackroyd and Martin’s SNL characters is no accident.
