The theme of the October issue was Rock and Roll and this story – a dramatic reinterpretation of Voodoo Child (Slight Return) by Jimi Hendrix – is one of the more obvious offerings. As interpretative pieces go, it doesn’t get any better than Hendrix actually chopping down a mountain while he’s playing guitar. The actual artwork is pretty interesting, though – excessive blacks over a color gradient.
