This fantastic splash page is from the final installment in Bilal’s story. It’s really easy to see where Bilal was branching out from his original, Moebius-influenced artwork, especially in the crosshatching. The color is also very impressive. I’m surprised that this didn’t end up on any number of vans during the early 80s, because it seems like a stereotypical “Heavy Metal” image.
