The art for this ad is the uncensored version of the cover of the December 1980 issue. It’s the latest in a long line of house ads featuring subscription information and the placement is effective – “Tits on the inside back cover? Tell me more!”

Unfortunately, this image became rather iconic and is very prominently fixed in my mind as one of those images from Heavy Metal that is uncomfortably exploitative, especially in the way it’s used as advertising.
