Original fiction by Stephen King, with an illustration by Walt Simonson. One of the goals of bringing Ted White in was to phase out the original fiction, but this was the heyday of Stephen King – The Stand was released the year before, after all. And if Stephen King wants to publish work through your magazine, why not? The illustration looks more like early Sienkiewicz in style, but it’s still recognizably Simonson.
