This is a great sequence in the film, but Steranko really makes it stand out. The textbox in the upper left corner, for example, is nested with the rest of the art on the ceiling. And the centerpiece of the second page is the jump from the establishing shot of the elevator to the deliberate motion of the closing door to the pair of close ups. The red on the inside of the elevator mirrors the countdown of the warning text and really builds it up.

I confess that I studied this sequence for my own work in the distant past.
