This strip is minimalist in it’s scope, not just because of the spare black and white nature of the art, but also due to the elliptical nature of the conversation. The reader is brought in just after the conversation has started and has to work to figure out exactly what they are talking about. The stone age setting provides an opportunity to present pretty naked girls juxtaposed with stone age cave art, what seems to be two obsessions of the artist. That first obsession takes on another character, however, when you remember that Jeff Jones eventually became a woman in the 90s.

It’s an odd strip and I’m not sure why I like it, but I do.
