I think that there is a graduate-level essay about a trans creator attempting to communicate her struggle with identity over the span of a number of years waiting for someone who really wants to dig into this series. The caption that takes up the center of the page certainly seems to have a deeper meaning in retrospect, although that’s not obvious unless you know Jones’ history.
