It’s very likely that the reader is going to spend most of his attention on the beautifully drawn tree that dominates the first panel. What I find interesting is that only a single branch from that tree extends into the second panel – aimed more or less at the crotch of the woman in that panel. Jones seems really fixated on including phallic images in these pages.
