This strip is an example of the “tell, don’t show” style story. The new prostitute is offered the opportunity to service a regular customer who was rebuilt by aliens and is “not a pretty sight.” Of course, even in the space of a single page story, there is an inconsistency that drives the story – the girls “adore” the customer (panel 6), but none of them are willing to do anything with him (panel 4), which is why the new girl is given the opportunity. The new appearance of the regular customer is, of course, left to the imagination of the reader.
