This final episode of The Ape finds the title character in conflict with the Buddha, including a scene where the Ape urinates on the Buddha’s hand. In retaliation, the Buddha imprisons the Ape under a massive pile of trash. Again, Manara’s rendering is beautiful, showing a level of ability that only got better over time.
