The latest chapter in the Ranxerox cycle finds him in New York driving a cab, living with his nineteen year old junkie girlfriend and a creepy roommate that walked straight out of Ballard’s Crash. The car crash fetishism gets particularly bad on this page; subsequent pages show him picking up a prostitute that he has to beat up so he can get off.

Ranxerox is drawn as an over-the-top comic (what with the bright, oversaturated colors and all) that is a little too realist to read as parody. It’s really just very violent, which gets really uncomfortable when sex is introduced to the mix.

Being a dark comedy, the fetishist suggests putting locking himself naked in the trunk of the cab while Ranx drives him around. This is not normal, run-of-the-mill material.
