The story here is that the person on the right has uplifted this lizard-like being to a point where he can be communicated with. On this page, we see that the uplift has gone far beyond what was expected, to the point where the lizard being is now so intelligent that it can see why being intelligent isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. The story ends with him reducing his brain to the basic state that it was at the beginning of the story.
