This interview with the director of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome didn’t really give me a lot of insight into the film or the director’s process. Still, it helped me process exactly how many of these magazines I’ve been reading – I can clearly remember the ads for The Road Warrior that ran in the 1981 issues.

Fun side note: the characters in this month’s installment of Rebel are watching the movie Mad Max, which is funny because Rebel is basically the same post-apocalyptic world concept that the Mad Max movies are set in.
