It’s the return of Yves Chaland! He’d been dead for five years by this point, but this story features one of his signature characters – a very obvious Tintin clone called Freddy Lombard. The story is set in the 1950s, which accounts for the amazingly racist depiction of Africans in the story.

Chaland is most notable for working in the clear line style. And that image of the guy getting punched in the face in the middle of the page is almost iconic.
