On the previous page, we see that our three heroes live in a dilapidated apartment that they may or may not be squatting in. The room presented in the first panel here is directly above their squalid living space, which stretches the bounds of incredulity. Fortunately, the plot moves so fast that we don’t really have time to ponder the juxtaposition. 

Chaland is at the top of his form in these stories. They are a very deliberate homage to BD from the fifties and have slid away from satire into something that could have easily been found in the pages of Pilote or Spirou in 1954.
