This page is a complete sendup of the easy investigations that Tintin engaged in. Freddy Lombard (the Tintin clone, above) heads downstairs and discovers a double-bladed knife that is identical to what he identified as the murder weapon. Keep in mind that the dagger is found in the same building as the murderer, which makes his reaction almost unbelievable.

Chaland does a great job with the color in the bottom half of the page, using the highlights to focus attention on specific items (like the dagger). In fact, this is my favorite Freddy Lombard strip, mostly because of this appearance in Heavy Metal.
