Here, four issues into the new quarterly format, Heavy Metal does something wacky – they print a stand-alone, complete story that is a sequel to a story that ran from May through December of 1981 in this same publication. Not only is this a sequel, but two of the main characters (both depicted on this page) are from that first book and knowing who they are and their relationship to each other is actually key to the resolution of this story. Good job on the whole “self-contained stories” thing!
