When the graphic accompanying the Editorial is longer than said Editorial, that’s a bad sign, right? Here, it feels like they ran out of things to write about and fell back on the old standard – “where do you get your material from?” And the answer is, as always, a potted history of Metal Hurlant and the French comics magazines. Although it does get some of the details wrong – Pilote was actually around before Metal Hurlant and comparing the two in this manner implies that Pilote was imitating Metal Hurlant when it came out.
