Up until this point, this is a fairly mild and almost even-handed retelling of the trial of Jesus. On the next page, a mushroom cloud is super-imposed over the crucifixion – implying that the martyrdom will eventually be the cause of a nuclear war.

This page had some very interesting design choices with the priests of the Sanhedrin in the bottom left corner.
