Yet another story featuring Prado’s favorite rumpled detective. I get the impression that this is very close to being Prado’s POV character. Here, the story ends with him being propositioned by a woman standing mostly naked in her window. He tells her that he has no money, but he has cigarettes and that’s enough. I read that last panel as hopeful – he dashed inside as quickly as possible because he’s no fool.
