Moebius and Jodorowsky return with a one-off tale told in the universe of the Incal – the backstory of the Metabaron. The art by Moebius is the real draw here, of course, but what I find most interesting about the Metabaron is that Jodorowsky was able to turn this short story into an entire series, based entirely on the initiation shown on this page. From that point of view, it’s difficult to pinpoint which was more creative – Moebius or Jodorowsky.
