This is the first appearance of the long-running Slaine story, which had been in the British anthology title 2000AD since 1983. This particular storyline first appeared in 1989 in 2000AD, so it’s relatively recent.

What I find most interesting about the feature is that the art is all over the place. Bisley’s art is very expressive, but a lot of the story is told through exposition or talking heads.
