This whole story is centered around the concept of symmetry and is actually an enormous palindrome, right down to the layout on the pages. Above, you can see the pages that rhyme with each other – the panels in the top right of page 24 are mirrored in the panels in the bottom left of page 55, for example.
I especially like how the three panels in pages 25 and 54 mirror each other – one is approaching the giant sculpture and the other is leaving the giant sculpture. The entire story is like this. It’s a very remarkable feat of comics construction.
