The New Frontier has been setting itself up for this story since the first installment. We finally get to see what happened to Rubi Fields – a very obvious Marilyn Monroe analog. There’s even a JFK analog – except that here he disappeared to Niagara Falls during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Of course, Rubi was half Canadian and ended up giving birth to the president’s son. It was a whole thing.
