The whole story is about a haunted mirror that was dug up in the Arabian desert. But for some reason, this woman keeps getting sexually assaulted as part of the story. Here, in her bath by unknown spirits. Later, by creepy Arabs. There’s meant to be some kind of moralistic tut-tutting regarding the sexual mores of the time, but the story’s overall lack of coherence doesn’t really stick the landing.
