James O’Barr is best known for creating The Crow. The first film adaptation of his comic was in pre-production by the time this issue was published, so the tie-in made a lot of sense.
What’s very interesting about this period of Heavy Metal is how many indie comics artists started to show up in the Gallery section and in Strip Tease almost immediately after Kevin Eastman bought the magazine.
