This is a pretty straightforward story about a prizefighter whose girlfriend defected to the European challenger. She was his entire reason for living and her departure made him lackluster and depressed. It goes from there.

The last panel is interesting. In many European cultures, a cuckold wears horns, giving his costume another layer of meaning.
