This special advertising section seems to be the point of the entire special issue – almost all of the usual advertising is gone, in favor of a fat catalog of “Great Comics” at the end. I am especially amused that Fantagraphics used an image from Birdland for this section, perhaps as a way of drawing the attention of the usual Heavy Metal reader.
