This issue’s Gallery section features advertisements for a variety of movies that have been produced by the team of Andy and Arlene Sidaris. A lot of these movies featured Playboy Playmates and Penthouse Pets. The most famous of these actresses was Julie Strain, who has a long-running association with the Heavy Metal publication.

What I found interesting about this page was how the Playboy Playmate status of the actresses was used as a selling point. Also, how far Pat Morita had fallen.

Of interest: the wikipedia entry for Andy Sidaris tells me that he stopped producing these movies in 1998 (the year after this was published) and died in 2007 from throat cancer. It’s not clear if this was caused by HPV or not.
