This was easily the best story in this issue. It’s a tight little story about vengeance. The passage of time is key to the story and it does a great job of pacing to really convey the tension of the main character’s patience.
One of the things that’s great about this page is how it starts from one person’s point of view and ends from the other – but the two characters have remained on their respective sides of the page. It’s a very nice mirror effect, visually and thematically.
Another cool thing is that he uses the middle panels to convey several pieces of key information necessary for the plot – the bullet in the chamber, the pounding sun, the man in the sights. Overall, a great page.
