The whole story is largely about the artwork, including two non-consecutive landscape pages where the captions are also printed sideways – forcing the reader to turn the book twice. To be fair, the artist can draw some very impressive cars.

I am waiting for “Technexpo” to be the name of the next independent comic convention. Somewhere in Kansas, maybe.

Also note the “Airtight Propulsion Unit.” It may or may not be a direct reference to The Airtight Garage of Jerry Cornelius (which appeared in this issue), but cartoonists love to do this kind of thing.
