This story does something very clever. Each page gets progressively darker, moving through a series of reds until the last scene is completely black. It’s very effective use of color to depict the passage of time.

But there’s also this bizarre page. The stuff in the left column gets read first, then the reader’s attention it brought back up to the top of the next column. Which is very weird. The art in that panel does a fairly good job of drawing the eye up, but there should really be a good reason why the reader is unsure which panels get read in which order. And I just can’t see one here.
