Sometimes you can just tell where a comic was made from the story elements. Here, the story is set during the World Cup final between Germany and France. All of the action of the story is set against the backdrop of the match and the ending ties into it as well, in a very elegant manner. The story reflects a weary familiarity with the cultural elements of World Cup fans and of football fans in general.

This page is very fun because it depicts the only goal of the game, forty five seconds in. And it’s a beautiful depiction of spectators watching their team blow the big game.

The rest of the story is okay, but there is a sequence where the main character’s cousin sexually assaults a paraplegic that they pick up on the side of the highway. That part’s really not great.
