This is a deep little story, about a grown woman at a party who runs into this old poker-playing lothario. Then we get a series of flashbacks and get to see that she remembers when he was fucking (and fucking over) her older sister. The really weird part is that there really is no denouement. It just kind of fades out. In fact, it feels like the set up for another episode in the story.

At any rate, the art is great, all greys and washes. The spotted blacks, in particular, are very well executed. Painting the main antagonist in all black makes him stand out more in those panels that he’s featured in. That also lends gravity and menace to the fourth panel, where he’s noticing her through the crowd.
