The artwork here is amazing. It’s very precise, illustrative nature is not great for dynamic sequential storytelling – note how all of the actual story is in the caption box. But the page layout is pretty amazing. It’s a Crepax throwback, but the variegated snapshots presented as discrete flashes of shape and moments of time forces the reader to stop and engage before moving on.
