It’s hard to remember that National Lampoon was the original publisher of Heavy Metal. But then ads like this pop up and make me say “Oh yeah!”

It is very weird running into the ad for what is now considered to be a popular classic movie in a publication that was printed before the movie came out. The Heavy Metal reader was very much the target audience for this movie.
