As far as I can tell, there were only a few stories in the Gideon Faust series by Chaykin and Wein. Faust comes across as a more adult (and thus, more fun) version of Dr. Strange. Chaykin’s layouts are daring and original here, pre-saging the work he would be doing in American Flagg. The art here is painted, which is typical of Chaykin’s work at the time.
